General cleaning approach
- Start with a soft cloth and mild cleaner for routine cleaning when the finish allows it.
- Wipe gently and dry the surface with a clean cloth to reduce water marks where applicable.
- Always confirm cleaning method based on finish before applying a cleaner broadly.
What to avoid
- Avoid abrasive tools, steel wool, harsh pads, or aggressive scrubbing on decorative surfaces.
- Avoid untested chemical cleaners, acidic materials, or solvent exposure unless the finish has been reviewed for that use.
- Do not assume handmade, aged, patina, or colored surfaces can be treated the same as plain metal sheets.
Finish-specific review
- Review cleaning on a small inconspicuous area or sample before applying it to installed panels.
- Confirm maintenance notes for aged, patina, hammered, etched, antique, blackened, or custom patterned finishes.
